Then, I walked into the living room area of the apartment.  There was a large, flat screen set upon a stand against the window.  The dark brown curtains were drawn closed and by the looks of it I doubted they were opened very often if at all.  A mishmash of furniture formed a u shape all somewhat facing the direction of the television.  In the center of the furniture was a glass coffee table with piles of magazines stacked neatly underneath.

I could see an assortment of video equipment on the shelf holding the flat screen.  There looked to be a satellite receiver, a DVD or perhaps blue ray player, an old school VHS player with the time flashing 12:00, several game systems and an array of movies, video games and even a couple of books.  Entertainment for the masses.

Off in the corner of the room was a dinning room table with four seats.  In the center of the table was a vase with a bouquet of dying flowers limply hanging over the lip.  Many of the petals had fallen neatly around the base of the vase looking almost as if they had been placed there purposely.
